Megan Slade, MA, LMHC
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 12 years of experience providing mental health services. I received my Masters Degree in Expressive Art Therapy in 2009 from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I have worked in a variety of mental health settings including: community mental health, psychiatric rehabilitation, day treatment, psychiatric and public health inpatient and outpatient settings. My curriculum vitae is available by clicking here.
My theoretical orientation is attachment based, existential and humanistic. I use a gentle, collaborative and non-judgmental approach. Treatment is individualized to address your goals. I draw from evidence-based treatments including: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and mindfulness practices. In addition, I am a master's level art therapist and offer this alternative means of expression and connection when desired.
I am a Montana native who spent several years living and studying on the east coast. I feel fortunate to call the Pacific Northwest home. In my free time, I enjoy going on adventures with family and friends, sewing and quilting, playing in the outdoors, and making and enjoying delicious food.
