Megan Slade, MA, LMHC (she/her pronouns)

I grew-up in the heart of the Beartooth Mountains (in Montana), and spent my college and early career years in the midwest and on the East Coast. I am grateful to live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and to call Seattle home. Outside of the therapy space, I enjoy gardening, sewing/quilting, making art, and exploring the outdoors with friends and family.

I am a practicing therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 15 years of experience providing mental health services. I received my Masters Degree in Expressive Art Therapy in 2009 from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Throughout the course of my career, I have worked in a variety of mental health settings including private practice, community mental health, psychiatric rehabilitation, and a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. For more information on my educational and training background, my curriculum vitae is available by clicking here

My approach is integrative, meaning that treatment is individualized to address your concerns and support your goals. I draw from a variety of treatment modalities including: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Art Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindful Self Compassion (MSC), and somatic-based practices. I am guided by humanistic, feminist, and existential theoretical orientations.
