This workshop can be taken during pregnancy or with your newborn (before-crawling) baby.  Created from the research by John and Julie Gottman, this program is designed to give you skills and information to recognize and successfully cope with the normal stressors of becoming a family.

Couples in this workshop will learn skills to:

  •  Maintain relationship satisfaction once baby arrives
  •  Strengthen friendship, intimacy and conflict resolution
  •  Enhance positive parent-baby interactions
  •  Keep both parents involved and connected

Gottman-Trained Educators

Lesli Desai, LICSW, is a clinical social worker with a private practice in West Seattle. Her training and experience focuses on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, grief and loss, and supporting families in transition. She is excited to bring the Gottman research and knowledge to new families in the Seattle area.

Megan Slade, LMHC is a mental health counselor with a private practice in Beacon Hill focused on the transition to parenthood, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and supporting families with a fussy baby. As a mother of a toddler, she is enthusiastic about sharing the Bringing Baby Home workshop in her community.
